2. Turkey, Kale, and Rice Soup

If you like soup, there is nothing more calming than a bowl of turkey, kale, and rice. That’s because it is so filling and low in fat, allowing you to consume without worrying about gaining weight. Ingredients for this recipe:

  • 2 tbsp of olive oil
  • 1 large chopped onion, chopped
  • 3 medium sliced or chopped carrots
  • 3 minced cloves of garlic
  • 1 pound of  lean ground turkey
  • Salt
  • Freshly ground pepper to taste
  • 1 1/2 cups of low-sodium rice
  • 6 cups of low-sodium turkey or chicken broth
  • 1 small bunch of removed ribs and roughly chopped kale ribs
