14 Best Thanksgiving Drinks Recipes

These thanksgiving drinks recipes are refreshingly delightful and perfect for the festive season. Of course, it’s normal to focus on main meals, side dishes, and desserts during thanksgiving preparations. But, it would be best if you considered cocktails and wines that fit the theme.

So, you’ll find them on this list whether you want sweet and citrusy mimosas or something a little spicy like mulled wine. It’s time to try something different from regular red or white wine (even though they taste amazing!).

Here are some of my favorite thanksgiving drinks;

1. Cranberry Bourbon Sour

Add a festive drink to your thanksgiving feast with a large batch of cranberry Bourbon Sour. Easy to make and absolutely delicious, this drink requires mixing all the ingredients in a large bowl or pitcher.

Each sip welcomes the sweet taste of homemade cranberry-orange syrup complemented by warming bourbon. It also features a hint of candied rosemary, which adds to the final taste. This tasty drink can be made ahead of time.

So, make a batch a night before and tick off cocktails from your list.

2. Mulled Wine

Here’s a soul-warming thanksgiving drink your guests will appreciate. It’s a spiced wine that fits excellently with any party menu, especially during the fall and winter.

Flavored with aromatic spices such as cinnamon, star anise, and cloves, your home will smell incredible as you make it. Sliced oranges, clementines, and maple syrup deliver a naturally sweet and tangy flavor to the final drink.

You can prepare this drink in a crockpot or stovetop, depending on your preference. Use brandy or Grand Marnier for more flavor or heartiness.

3. Cranberry Orange Mimosas

Nothing is topping the flavor combination of cranberries and oranges. So add a fresh twist to your standard mimosa with this thanksgiving cocktail recipe.

Cranberry Orange mimosas are super easy to make and flavorful. To ace this recipe, you need freshly squeezed orange juice, cranberry simple syrup, and a bottle of champagne or prosecco. Another reason why I love this drink is the delightful color in the end; gorgeous and festive!

Serve with cranberries and orange slices as garnish.

4. Sparkling Apple Cider Margarita

Toast to a boozy thanksgiving celebration with this fresh, fall-themed drink. Made with sweet apple cider and rosemary, this margarita is delicious and incredibly simple to make.

But don’t be fooled by the look; it does pack a punch- you need tequila and triple sec (orange-flavored liqueur) for a warming addition to the flavors. Finally, rim the glass with a mixture of sugar, salt, and cinnamon for a sweet and spicy finish.

Use apple slices as garnish and serve chilled.

5. Vanilla Chai Old Fashioned

This simple vanilla chai drink is perfect if you want a cozy cocktail. With a delicious mix of vanilla and Bourbon, it’s warm, sweet, and delightful.

It would be best if you had some spiced chai simple syrup, winter citrus, vanilla, Bourbon, and sparkling water for this recipe. It’s quick, but you must make the syrup days ahead. The sparkling water makes it fizzy just for fun.

In addition, the Bourbon isn’t overpowering, so you have a pretty balanced cocktail in your hands.

6. Fresh Fig Margaritas

There’s nothing quite like the taste of fresh figs complementing your meal. This crowd-pleaser looks as good as it tastes, with a tangy hint from the lime.

For this appealing thanksgiving drink, you must first make a fig syrup before the margarita. Depending on your time, making the fig syrup the night before Thanksgiving is wise. Hence, you’ll be able to make this drink in a few moments.

Add a mixture of turbinado sugar, salt, and honey to the rim of your glass for the perfect flavor.

7. Toasted S’mores Martini

Add warmth and the spirit of togetherness to your Thanksgiving table with this toasted s’mores martini. Delicious and appealing to look at, no one can resist taking a sip of this drink.

With beautiful layers of cream, chocolate liqueur, and marshmallow vodka, it has a sweet taste with a hint of heat. Add a graham cracker rim, and you have a campfire experience in your mouth!

This fall special is perfect for different festive seasons.

8. Cape Gooseberry Gin Smash

Cape gooseberries are not an easy fruit to find because they are seasonal. Nevertheless, they make the perfect addition to this gin cocktail.

These delicious fruits add a sweet and sour flavor to the drink that keeps you coming back for more. Lime juice offers a tangy hint which blends excellently with the elderflower liqueur.

For a refreshing cocktail, try this recipe. PS. Be ready to shake the mixture vigorously!

9. Thanksgiving Sangria

This is one of my top thanksgiving cocktails to make. Why? Because everyone loves it, and you can make a large batch in a few minutes!

Thanksgiving sangria can be made with different flavor combinations; cranberry & orange, honey crisp apple, and apple cider. Whichever you choose will make a fantastic cocktail.

But for this recipe, you have a mixture of brandy, pumpkin butter, and white wine mixed with cider, citrus, and some spices. Then, to finish it off, you have a splash of ginger beer. It’s unbelievably tasty and refreshing!

10. Pomegranate Ginger Paloma

Start the festivities with glasses of this pomegranate ginger Paloma. It’s minty, fizzy, gingery, and all shades of delicious.

For that festive warmth, you need mint, honey, and ginger in your ginger syrup. Place in a pitcher with pomegranate juice, grapefruit juice, lime, tequila, and ginger syrup. Top with ginger beer for that fizzy addition and extra gingery taste.

Serve with ice, and you’re all set! You can substitute ginger beer for sparkling water, but this will reduce the taste of ginger.

11. Apple Pie Punch

This apple pie punch is excellent non-alcoholic drink adults and kids will enjoy. It’s an apple-pie-flavored mocktail; what could possibly be better?!

Full of vibrant apple flavors, this easy-to-make punch requires nothing less than five minutes to make. It would help if you had apple cider, white grape juice, apple pie spice, and club soda. Mix all of the ingredients together, and you have a kickass drink.

Serve with finely diced apples for a satisfying crunch.

12. Cherry Crush

Here’s another crowd’s favorite; with a bourbon base and juicy cherries, this thanksgiving drink is a must-try. Aside from the delicious taste, this drink is perfect for all drinkers.

Whether you prefer a fruity punch or a regular bourbon and ice, you’ll love this one. Plus, it has a warm, fruity taste that keeps you coming back for more. Maraschino cherries and lime juice come together for an excellent tangy addition to the overall flavor.

Add sugar to the rim and serve with more cherries as garnish.

13. Caramel Apple Wine Slushies

Who doesn’t love the sweet and nutty taste of caramel apples? Now, imagine how incredible it would taste as slushies. I can’t get enough of these fall-flavored slushies, and I bet you and your guests will feel the same.

They are incredibly refreshing and are made with a satisfying combination of apple cider, liqueur, frozen wine, and caramel vodka. Pinot grigio is one of the best white wines for this recipe, but you can always substitute it with your choice.

Blend and serve with apple slices as garnish.

14. Hot Toddy with Charred Oranges

Just a few sips of this sweet thanksgiving cocktail are all you need to get the party going. This is a twist to the classic hot toddy recipe, which tastes incredible.

All you need are some fresh oranges, honey, water, and alcohol (preferably whiskey or Bourbon). This mixture gives you a nice, warm, and sweet drink that will have you asking for another glass. The charred oranges give it a toasty, aromatic appeal.

Serve with charred orange slices and cinnamon sticks as the garnish.
